The campus consists of a number of buildings, among others the main school building, the navigation simulator, a sports hall, cadet accommodation and a gym.

The cadets are organised in classes of 15-20. Each class has its own classroom which is also used during study periods and in the evenings. In addition to the ordinary classrooms and larger auditoriums, the RNoNA has two computer labs, a physics lab, an electronics lab, an engineering lab, a language lab, a navigation simulator and three training vessels. The Academy also has an extensive and well-stocked library with a reading room, its own print shop and a modern gym. Each autumn the RNoNA leases the tall ship Statsraad Lehmkuhl, and embarks the first-year cadets. In the course of a three-month cruise the cadets learn seamanship and experience leadership training. Teaching of theoretical subjects like leadership theory, sea power and English is integrated in this cruise.
